Freshly Picked

FP (5 of 10)

I’m in love with the Freshly Picked moccasins. I can’t wait to have my own kids and dress them in super cute clothes and top off their outfits with the most amazing moccs. In the meantime, while I’m nannying Slaiden, I want him to look perfect and dapper all the time. I got him these camo FP moccasins and they are truly amazing. When he was a little younger I get him the prince George ones and now at the age of 1,5 I’m even happier to have gotten a second pair of those little shoes. They are super easy to put on, stretch a little bit and look super cute. The other pair of moccs that’s on our wish list are the Born in the USA ones, so cute! They also launched a line of moccs with matching t-shirts and those too are amazing. I find them more girly though, and since people are already mistaking Slaiden for a girl all the time, I think I’m going to wait till they have a line of shirts that are more for boys.  Continue reading

Workout essentials: My go-to gym bag and the coolest capris

Gym bag - Onzie-4

Today I want to talk about the Gaiam Metro Gym Bag that I’m  not only using as a gym bag, but also as a diaper bag, hand bag and everyday bag. I had been looking for a good gym bag for a while, but I always found something that I didn’t like about the bags that I had before. This one is literally everything I need. It has 2 inside pockets so you can organise everything in there. There is a key holder which I also use to put my gym lock on, it has an outside pocket on the 4 sides and you can close those with magnetic buttons which is great. There is plenty of space inside to store your water, towel, weight training journal, vitamins and wallet and it’s just the most comfortable bag. I like both wearing it over my shoulders and in my hands. The color is pretty neutral too and it’s a nice fit with almost all of the workout clothes I own.  Another great thing about this bag is that it has straps on the bottom for your yoga or fitness mat. Feeling Fancy on Rodeo Drive

DSC_2056-2kopie

A couple of weeks ago I had the car for myself for a whole week, which meant that I had the chance to explore some places out of my bubble (Redondo/Manhattan/Hermosa Beach). I went to Beverly Hills to walk around on Rodeo Drive and I loved it. People there are walking around with real and gorgeous Chanel bags, they are driving the coolest cars and they are wearing the most fashionable outfits. People actually wear high heels there, which is pretty different from the work-out clothes fashion situation in the city I live in! 😉 Continue reading

Revive Your Style with Sincerely Jules

LUCKY_Armani_0130-3171251700-O

I like to participate in contests. I’m not always lucky, but sometimes I am, and sometimes you win something you could have only dreamt of experiencing in your life. A couple of weeks ago I participated on this contest that I read about on the blog of blogger babe Sincerely Jules. The winner of the contest would get styled by her during a fashionable event at the Armani store in Beverly Hills. Continue reading

Fifty shades of Blue

DSC_1919

I’m almost always the person behind the camera, but I don’t mind getting in front of the camera every once in a while. I need to get in front of the camera, because even though I’ve been in the US for a couple of months now, I’m still a tourist and this is what tourists do. Getting pictures in front of the gorgeous backgrounds of the places they visit. Continue reading

Stylish babies wear moccasins (+ GIVEAWAY!)

Slaiden One 1-5

A little while ago, Slaiden got the cutest little baby moccasins. After I saw them for the first time, I immediately knew that I had to get him those. I really like him to be dressed well every time I take him for a walk to the park or the beach. Other moms and au pairs (like myself) have probably experienced already that it’s not always easy to put shoes on baby feet. Sometimes it takes me up to 10 minutes to put shoes on the little guy’s feet. With these cute shoes I don’t have that problem! 😉

Journey of a Dress (DVF)

Slaiden One 1-19

I had been wanting to go to this Diane Von Furstenberg exhibition for a couple of weeks now and since I had spring break this week and Slaiden was staying with his grandparents, I finally had the chance to explore LA and to go to some musea and monuments that were on my to-do list! I loved everything about this exhibition! The dresses were fabulous, the colors of the walls and patterns on the floors were gorgeous, there were amazing pictures hanging on the wall and it was just such a fashionable place to be.  Continue reading

#OOTD: Feeling like Marissa Cooper

DSC_0739

A little while ago, I went to the beach for a little shoot with some friends! We went on a day trip and this was my outfit. I was wearing beige pants, my grey Off Duty sweater, leopard printed shoes and a faux fur jacket. I really liked the combo of all the basic colors, combined with my printed shoes. I would say it was a comfy and sporty outfit that I gave a chic touch by adding the faux fur jacket to it.

I loved shooting around these lifeguard huts. The color made me realize that I’m living my dream here in California. I remember being 14 years old and going to the electronic store with all the money I saved from babysitting. I bought the The OC dvd box and when I came home, I watched the whole first season without taking a break. It was after midnight when I was done watching, but I knew that someday I wanted to live in California and go to the beach where Marissa Cooper always went to and I wanted to meet a guy like Ryan Atwood. I haven’t met my Ryan yet (Should I ask Tinder for some help with this?!), but I surely did go to this beautiful beach many times already.

Now, almost 9 years later, I’m living here, and the dream I had as a little teenage girl came true. Continue reading

#OOTD: Prêt à partir

DSC_9841

After having been in Belgium for almost 4 weeks, I’m going back to the US. This time I’ll stay for more than a year and I’m so excited! In 2 weeks I’ll start studying photography there and I can’t wait to learn more about this topic!

Today and the last couple of days before I said goodbye to my friends and to Belgium! I like to be in my country, but I feel like I have to take all the chances to get to another country. It’s the third time that I’m leaving Belgium for so long and I’ve never been as prepared as I am right now. I’ve gotten used to packing and I actually enjoy doing it! Continue reading
