Ever since I learnt that Stacy was pregnant with Strider, I knew I wanted to get him some crib moccs and I must admit, I love them on him. Grey is his color and the first grey crib moccs came out right when I was going to order his moccs. He wears them everyday and I love that we can keep his feet warm in a stylish way. Continue reading
Hello everyone and happy 2015!
I’m so happy with how the year started. Stacy spent New Years Eve having contractions and they got worse as the hours passed. Little Strider was born on January 1st, a little before 9am. He came home last Monday and he’s such an amazing little guy. He’s sleeping all day, is really calm and really only cries when he’s hungry. He’s adorable and I’m so in love! Continue reading
Being an au pair is so rewarding. I made this little video from little movie fragments that I made in the last couple of months and I’m so excited about how it turned out! Continue reading
A couple of weekends ago, our neighbors invited us for sushi. I tried this once and was very sick after, but after seeing how much everyone loves sushi and knowing that our host was Japanese herself, I decided to give it another shot. They bought fresh fish, rice and avocado and the guys actually made the sushi voor the girls. It was delicious! The babies loved the rice too. You can probably imagine that the rice was EVERYWHERE, right?! Eating sushi is difficult for someone like me who never before ate with chopsticks, so I made a pretty big mess myself. In the end I became better at it though and I was so happy to give this meal another try! Can’t wait to have it again! Continue reading
Something I love to do is to go for a walk with Slaiden, take my camera and snap some cool shots. The day I took these pictures we went for a walk to the farmers market and on the way we stopped at the trail where Slaiden played with the pine cones he found on the ground. Continue reading
A little while ago I went to the park with Slaiden and his girl next door, Mia (and her parents). I remember when they first met each other they were both so tiny and they didn’t really interact. Now that they both turned 1 and they are walking they actually start liking each other and they want to play together. I really like to watch babies (or should we call them toddlers already?!) because it’s funny to see how they all like the same things. They like to get dirty in the sand, they like eating the sand and they love getting off the slides. Slaiden actually likes running off the slides which is pretty dangerous, so I always have to keep both eyes open when I take him to the park. (Has anyone else experienced something like this before? What did you do about it?) Continue reading
A little while ago, Slaiden got the cutest little baby moccasins. After I saw them for the first time, I immediately knew that I had to get him those. I really like him to be dressed well every time I take him for a walk to the park or the beach. Other moms and au pairs (like myself) have probably experienced already that it’s not always easy to put shoes on baby feet. Sometimes it takes me up to 10 minutes to put shoes on the little guy’s feet. With these cute shoes I don’t have that problem! 😉
Leggings are the most comfortable pants that exist. There is no doubt in that. If I could, I’d wear my workout leggings all the time. If grownups find leggings so comfortable, then why wouldn’t they be perfect for toddlers who are running around every hour of the day?! I found out about Sugarplum Lane through Instagram and after checking out the webshop, I knew I was in love with all the leggings they are offering. I paired these high-quality leggings up with a basic blue polo shirt and some sneakers, which gave the whole outfit a more boyish look!
The best thing about living in California is having the beach on walking distance of your home. I love to go to the beach and just hang out, even on a less sunny day. I’m taking a photography class and we have to practice taking pictures outside. The teacher told us to always either go out before 10 in the morning or after 4pm in order to take the best pictures. When the sun is shining too bright, the pictures don’t turn out as good as when it’s overcast. Continue reading
