I’ve started my last semester of college 3 weeks ago and I’m loving my classes. I’m only taking 2 classes and then I’ll have my Personal Trainer certificate, which is very exciting. One of the classes mostly focuses on how to coach and how to give one-on-one training. The other class is a workout class, which is great to help me get in shape before I take a job as a Personal Trainer. Continue reading
About a month ago, my friend Sae, who I got to know through the Herbalife community, invited me to go down to the beach to do some yoga. I thought it was worth a try, since I had been wanting to get my first real yoga experience for a while now. And let’s be honest… What better setting to have a relaxing yoga session than right on the beach?! Continue reading
I ran my second half marathon 2 weekends ago and I’m so proud of myself because not only broke a personal record, I also finished in less than 2 hours which was my goal! My exact time was 1:56:51, which made me the 1,881st person to finish out of 25,000! Can you imagine how awesome that feels? Continue reading
Today I want to talk about the Gaiam Metro Gym Bag that I’m not only using as a gym bag, but also as a diaper bag, hand bag and everyday bag. I had been looking for a good gym bag for a while, but I always found something that I didn’t like about the bags that I had before. This one is literally everything I need. It has 2 inside pockets so you can organise everything in there. There is a key holder which I also use to put my gym lock on, it has an outside pocket on the 4 sides and you can close those with magnetic buttons which is great. There is plenty of space inside to store your water, towel, weight training journal, vitamins and wallet and it’s just the most comfortable bag. I like both wearing it over my shoulders and in my hands. The color is pretty neutral too and it’s a nice fit with almost all of the workout clothes I own. Another great thing about this bag is that it has straps on the bottom for your yoga or fitness mat. Continue reading
Training for a half marathon is not an easy thing to do. It asks for a lot of motivation, dedication and will power. You can’t just show up at the race without months of preparation. I tell you, that would be mission impossible.
Next to running 5 days a week, I also have a weight lifting class (1,5 hour) on Monday and Wednesday evening and since I would love to actually have abs when showing off in my bikini in a couple of months, I added the Lorna Jane Ab Challenge to my workout week too. Continue reading
For me being fit is something really important. I have always liked working out and especially running. I remember when I just started running that distances like 5k seemed so far! I didn’t know how to start on that and thought that I would need more than an hour. Today, running a 5k is an easy run, a run that I would do on a ‘rest day’. I run 5k in 25 minutes, so for me that’s a great accomplishment. 10k’s are getting easier too, but the hard part about those is that I want to finish them within an hour. I like running rather fast, so normally that’s not such a big problem to accomplish that!
In May I’m going to run my first half marathon in Santa Barbara and I can’t wait to start training for that one! I will follow a 12-week training program and since I’ve never done something like that before, I’m sure it’s going to be a huge challenge! 😉
What’s the longest distance you’ve ever ran?
Among the 312 Instagram accounts that I’m following I have around 25 accounts that are my all time favorites and as I love to discover new accounts myself, I decided to share my favorites with you. Every Saturday for at least the next 5 weeks I will be posting 5 of my favorite accounts and I absolutely invite you to check out those accounts yourself!
The accounts I generally love the most are those of the famous fashion bloggers who get to travel the world! I’m truly obsessed (in a good way) with their adventures! Among the profiles I post about you’ll also find accounts with amazing photography, health motivation, yummie food, the nicest collages, creative DIY’s…
Today I introduce to you the following 5 accounts on Instagram:
The account of Sincerely Jules is my all time favorite account! I love everything that this L.A. girl does: her blog, her clothing line, her way of traveling in style etc. To me it seems like she has everything a blogger can dream about! She is so pretty and has this amazing tan! The fashion projects on which she collaborates are the coolest and I’d love to meet her someday! The blogger events where she was that I liked the most (from the pictures) were the ones with Mango in Ibiza and Barcelona and RewardStyle in Cabo! I just loved the pictures she shared of those events! I’m still dreaming of owning one of her pieces of clothing! I love the Célfie T-shirt, but I really like the Off Duty- and the Dream, Believe, Achieve-sweaters too! So inspirational! If by any chance you would be reading this post, I have this message for you Jules: ‘Keep up with the blog, because you’re doing a great job and you’re inspiring people from all over the world! You make me want to become someone with a great style and you inspire me to travel more often and to dream, believe and achieve!
Have you ever had that feeling that you’re on the treadmill and you hear that the person next to you is running a little faster? When I hear that the game is on!
Everyone has his own way of getting motivated to go on, right? 😉
Have a nice day and thanks to all 300 of my followers to follow me! That means a lot to me!
I really love running and since I’ve never showed you guys my workout outfits I decided to do a post on them.
I love Nike and as you can see my shoes and leggings are Nike. I was wearing a top from Oysho that I bought in Spain! So comfortable! I would wear these clothes daily if I could!
I ran 6 km in a little more than 30 minutes and burned 500 calories! Yay!
In the end it’s all about being motivated!
I’m off to work now! Happy Sunday!
