Guess who turned 2 this week?! I started taking care of Slaiden when he was 7,5 months old. He was such a cute little baby back then and he turned out to be an amazing little boy! He’s so loving and sweet and I couldn’t feel happier to have him in my life. Continue reading
Home is not a place. It’s a feeling!
Ever since the beginning of the year, we’ve been trying to go see as many sunsets as possible and they have been amazing. I’ve seen all kinds of gorgeous ‘paintings in the sky’. The sky just gets a mix of pink, blue, purple and yellow and it’s hard not to be amazed by its beauty. Continue reading
It has been cooling down a little bit in California the last couple of weeks, which is great. We even had some rain this week! With the heatwave that had been going on for weeks, I was happy that I could finally take a long walk without getting dehydrated. Continue reading
Paul’s dutch cousins are in town for a whole month and that means that there are/were lots of really fun activities planned. They went to Vegas for Halloween, the Grand Canyon, Sacramento, Seattle (to watch the Seahawks play) and so on. They also did a lot of things in our little beach town here. They went biking, are planning a fish trip and they went sailing. After they spent the afternoon on the water, Stacy, Slaiden and I went over to the marina and got on the boat to take a little tour on the water. It was amazing! Continue reading
Yesterday evening we arrived back home after having an unforgettable week of roadtrippin’ along the west coast. We saw amazing things, stayed at unique places, were surrounded by the sweetest people and just had a great time doing what we love.
The first stop on our road trip was an unforgettable one. Continue reading
I’m on a road trip at the moment along the west coast of California. We left from Redondo Beach and stopped in a couple of beach towns. Right now we are staying in Half Moon Bay and tomorrow we are going to make a day trip to San Francisco which I’m very excited about! Continue reading
During my 2,5 week stay in Honduras, I went to Omoa twice. Omoa isn’t a known place among tourists, but the locals love it and they know all about the best places to eat, the cleanest beaches and the most charming little spots to explore. Eduardo took me to this amazing fish restaurant with a beach view and I must say, it was perfect. The food was delicious, the natural juices that they were serving were very rico and the little sea breeze made the whole setting even better. Continue reading
Since we’re living in California and we’re spending a lot of time at the beach, it’s essential for the baby to have lots of swim gear! Whenever I say ‘beach’ Slaiden runs off to the remote of the garage to open it, so I can get his stroller and his little bucket out of there. As we come closer to the beach he will point at the water and once I get him out of the stroller he’s on the loose! Continue reading
Honduras is a beautiful country. One that I carry in my heart. The first weekend I spent in Honduras, 2 weeks ago, my host family took me to Rio Coto where we met up with our neighbors. We ate the most delicious en fresh fried fish with tajadas and rice and beans. We swam in the water, jumped off the little pier, took some great GoPro footage, build sandcastles, took a ride on the banana boat and just enjoyed the great view of the surroundings. Continue reading
Rialto Beach is probably the most unique looking beach that I’ve ever seen. The kind of beach that you’d see in a good movie and that makes you dream about being more adventurous and going to places that look like this place. Living in California, I’m used to white sandy beaches with hot surfers every few meters, so this was something totally different. Black sand, tall trees, driftwood everywhere, the most amazing rocks in every shade of grey and little islands that you could see through the foggy landscape. Continue reading
