The meaning of photography

Say Queso (5 of 12)

I took a break from taking pictures for a little bit, because I just didn’t have time to do what I love at all. I started feeling overworked, tired and just without any energy. About 2 weeks ago, I picked up the camera again and I realized how much I missed doing this and how happy it makes me. For the last couple of days, I tried taking my camera with me again when I go to places and I decided to just use this as some kind of stress reliever.  Continue reading

What’s your dream?

If your dreams don't scare you, they are not big enough

I have lots of dreams! They are mainly dreams about the future.

Some people think I think to much about the future and that I don’t live my life to the fullest right now. They are partially right (about the part that I think a lot about the future!). I do live my life though. You see, I’m not the kind of person who loves to party and to drink all the time, but that doesn’t mean that I’m not happy! I just like other things…

I like to travel, and yes, that means that I have to save money during the year, which also means that I’ll drink less ‘cervezas’ during the period before my trips.

I also do think a lot about what will happen after I graduate this year. I have the impression that a lot of people of my age don’t think too much about that. But I’m worrying about the future. I know that my generation will have lots of difficulties buying a house and living a wealthy life.

Sometimes I watch programs in which they help people look for a house and even a small house costs 100 thousands of euros, I mean, WHAT THE HELL?! I don’t think I will ever be able to buy a house. Life is expensive you know?!

Most of my dreams involve money, but the dreams where I spend my money on at the moment are worth it. If I travel I spend money, but the memories I get from those trips are priceless and that means everything to me.

I do have other dreams of course, dreams that are for free

– I dream to live a healthy life
– I dream to be happy always
– I dream about becoming a photographer (one who is as good as Jana Williams and Jackie Rueda!)
– I dream about being happily married with beautiful kids (in the future!)
– I dream of having a creative and successful webshop one day
– I dream of making a difference in someone’s life

And of course I dream of winning the lottery one day, so I can stop worrying for once… 😉

But tell me: What’s your dream?

This is me…

Julie Gent

My name is Julie and I’m a 21-year-old belgian girl. I love to be creative, to travel (especially to north and central america) and to discover new things in life. My boyfriend lives in Honduras, which means that we have a long-distance relationship, but we are doing this for more than 2 years allready and it works for us, so that’s great!

I’ve been thinking about creating my own blog for a while now and I’m still discovering how to do it. I wanted to write this blog in English because like that it can reach more people. Dutch is my native language so excuse me for the mistakes I’ll probably make! You can always mail me if I should correct something! 😉

When I’m looking for inspiration for making something or when I’m looking for information about a place that I’m going to visit, I always look for nice blogs that help me to discover the nicest spots in a city or country or that give me inspiration into making something original.

With this blog I want to show what my interests are, what I make in my free time and which places I recommend you to visit. Of course it would be nice to get some reaction on it so I can meet people who like what I write or who visited places I’ve been to.
