Take a break & enjoy the view

Sometimes, people tend to overdo. It often happens to me and then I end up injured on my foot or back, or something else that makes me feel bad comes up. Whenever I run, I need to take breaks. Not only because I feel tired or because I’m thirsty. Sometimes I just take a break because, especially when I’m running at the strand, I’m falling in love with the view. Continue reading

Beach discoveries

The best thing about living in California is having the beach on walking distance of your home. I love to go to the beach and just hang out, even on a less sunny day. I’m taking a photography class and we have to practice taking pictures outside. The teacher told us to always either go out before 10 in the morning or after 4pm in order to take the best pictures. Walking by 1st Street on his 1st birthday

Slaiden turned 1 on Tuesday and as his au pair I have to say that I’m so happy to be taking care of such a happy, advances and amazing little guy. He is walking and talking (his own language) and he’s just everywhere!

We are going to have this super cool Superbowl/Seahawks party for him on Saturday and I’m so excited for him to try his birthday cake! Continue reading

Hello, Hermosa Beach!

It’s even warmer than the summer days in Belgium! Hermosa Beach is pretty much my favorite place to walk. I love Manhattan Beach too though! What’s your favorite beach destination? Continue reading

This morning, I decided to go for a run at the strand. Since I had arrived here, I’ve been so busy that I hadn’t found the time to go to the beach. I was so excited to go for a run today and you can probably imagine how disappointed I was to see that it was this foggy! I couldn’t even see the water! I do appreciate the beauty of this view though and I must say that this was the perfect weather for working out. I could feel little drops of water in the fog and they were so refreshing during my run.  Continue reading
