It has been cooling down a little bit in California the last couple of weeks, which is great. We even had some rain this week! With the heatwave that had been going on for weeks, I was happy that I could finally take a long walk without getting dehydrated. Continue reading
Cupcakes are my guilty pleasure as many of you know already. My absolutely favorite ones are the ones from Susie Cakes, but I’m always open to try out new places. Bottega Louie was on my list of places to go to when I was going to visit Downtown LA. I’d seen so many Instagram posts about this place that I wanted to go check it out for myself. Continue reading
Last weekend, we celebrated Slaiden’s first birthday party. As it was Superbowl weekend, we decided to throw him a Superbowl party. I got all crafty and made the football goal, the flags and the cupcake stand bench myself. I also created these stickers with Illustrator to put on the cups. You can probably tell that it was more of a SeaHawks party than a regular football party! The party was all blue and green colored. Continue reading
A couple of months ago, Stacy brought some cupcakes home. The red velvet ones. I had never tried this taste before but I instantly loved it! They also had the best frosting on top and inside! So delicious! The weeks after she kept bringing me a cupcake every once in a while and I got so curious to see this little shop where she got them!
Last week we finally went to Susie Cakes in Manhattan Beach and I loved it! They had various types of cakes, cookies and cupcakes and everything looked delicious and really really pretty! Continue reading
Exactly 1 month ago my friends and I organized a pink brunch just for the girls! The concept is really simple: You bring all the yummiest stuff with you and try to have a touch of pink in all of it! We had fruits, freshly squeezed orange juice, pancakes, cupcakes, bagels with salmon and Philadelphia… Ok not everything was pink, but at least we tried!
On Tuesday night I went to a Novavie-night with my youngest sister! Her friend Francesca is really into clean eating and my sister told me she would prepare some sugar free treats while her older sister Stéphanie, who is a beauty, style and color consultant, would introduce us to the products of Novavie.
We got to try all the products and I must say that I loved the concept!
For more information on what Stéphanie does for living, you can check her personal website.
You can watch the way I’ve experienced the evening and you can even contact her to attend your girls night with her products (for free)!
