LA winter calls for an ice cold green drink

You’ve probably saw it already on the Instagram posts of your favorite LA bloggers, but in case you didn’t I can assure you… This year’s LA winter is hotter than ever. With temperatures around 85 degrees Fahrenheit (+/- 30 degrees Celsius) it is almost too hot to go for a run, which isn’t really good for my training schedule. 😉 On Wednessday I went for a 6 miles run and after 3,5 miles I had to take a break because I couldn’t stand the heat anymore. Anyway, with these temperatures it’s really important to keep hydrated, and what’s a better way to do that than to make a delicious green drink?!

Ingredients for 3 servings:

– 1 banana
– 1 cutie
– 1 lemon
– 1 apple
– 1 cup of (green) melon
– 1 cup of frozen mango
– 1 cup of frozen pineapple
– 1 cup of frozen grapes
– 1 cup of almond milk
– 1,5 cup of coconut water
– 2 cups of spinach

Hope you liked this one! I chose for frozen fruit this time, because I really wanted to make a refreshing drink!

What do you drink or eat during hot days like today? Any healthy treats that I should try to make? Let me know in the comments below!

It’s almost weekend! Yay!

I don’t like spinach at all, but it’s so healthy and you don’t really taste it in the smoothie the way you taste it when it’s cooked! You should give it a try, Marilyn! Thanks for reading and happy Friday!
